Requirements

  • You must be a minimum of 19 years old.
  • Adequate English reading and writing skills.
  • A good knowledge of the subject you wish to teach or deliver.

How to book
Complete the online booking form or get in touch with the course advisor to book this course. Below is a list of things you will need to complete your booking:

  • Completed booking form.
  • Photographic proof of identification. (one of the following)
    – Valid Passport with VISA
    – Signed UK Driving Licence
    – Valid Warrant Card issued by HM Forces or Police
    – Other photographic ID card, e.g. Employee ID Card (of current employer), Student                 ID Card, Travel card, ect.

Learning Outcomes
Once you have completed your course you will:

  • Understand your own roles, responsibilities and boundaries in relation to teaching or training.
  • Understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches within a specialist area.
  • Demonstrate session planning skills – plan deliver, observe and evaluate a micro-teach session.
  • Have a good understanding of how to deliver inclusive sessions to motivate learners.
  • Understand the use of different assessment methods.
  • Understand and analyse the importance of accurate record keeping and procedures including internal and external verification.

Assessments

For you assessments you will be required to complete coursework, a portfolio of evidence, practical demonstration or assignment.

Qualification structure
